3. The quality of vacuum pump oils of different brands and varieties is different. If they are mixed, it may cause changes in oil quality. Therefore, different types of vacuum pump oils cannot be mixed.
4. When used for solvent, water vapor and corrosive gas, it should be checked frequently after use. When the oil is emulsified or diluted to affect the sealing performance of the vacuum pump, the oil should be changed.
The vacuum pump oil has anti-rust, anti-corrosion and oxidation stability; it can quickly separate the water entrained in the oil, so that the vacuum pump can reach the required vacuum degree; the low vapor pressure prevents the oil from flowing out of the inner cavity of the pump The backflow to the vacuum system diffuses into return oil to ensure sufficient ultimate vacuum pump. The main performance requirements of vacuum pump oil include the following:

Liquid ring vacuum pumps generally require an ISO 22 or ISO 32 viscosity. Rotary vane vacuum pumps normally utilize an ISO 68 (SAE 20) or ISO 100 (SAE 30) oil. Process pumps and other vacuum pumps driven by a gearbox will require a much more viscous oil, such as an ISO 220 (SAE 50).
Unlike motor oil that contains many additives, vacuum pump oil additives are limited to corrosion resistance, anti-oxidation and perhaps foaming. For applications that may contain high percentages of oxygen, acids and hazardous gases there are alternative synthetic fluids available.
